Beauty industry in Ukraine is the market of great possibilities to all its participant: investors, producers, distributors, owners of the beauty salons, specialists and consumers. International exhibition of perfumery and cosmetics InterCHARM Ukraine was created exactly for procurement of the formation, structuring, and qualitative development of the given market segment.
Nowadays InterCHARM Ukraine is a world known project, representing development dynamics of the perfumery and cosmetics market and determinative vectors of its developments in future. The deserved image of domestic beauty industry in front of western partners has being created on the basis of the exhibition. Foreign companies are being attracted actively on the Ukrainian beauty market. InterCHARM Ukraine is an affective means of marketing communication and maintenance of the companies positive image and trade marks. Exhibition InterCHARM Ukraine dynamically develops year in year out. In 2008 among the exhibitors there were 418 Ukrainian companies of all segments of the market, 53 of them are domestic producers and 119 foreign companies.
The exposition of the exhibition was located on the territory of 3 pavilions. Total area of all pavilions is 23 000 sq.m. The exhibition area is separated on specialized sections for more conveniences of all exhibitors and visitors of the exhibition.
In the first pavilion the exhibitors and visitors could get to know with innovations and trends of perfumery, cosmetics and makeup section. 4 thematic section became the addition to the main exposition. At the exhibiiton InterCHARMpack raw materials, labeling, etiquettes and equipment for perfumery and cosmetics manufacture were presented. Pharma Beauty area has represented cosmeceutics, children’s cosmetics, personal hygiene means and biologically active additives. TREND Zone is a zone of trends, which was personified with visual images. It showed the consumer’s life now, which products and ingredients would attract the consumer tomorrow. In the zone there were presented 6 trends: “COCON”, “Hedonism”, “Luxury”, “Nature”, “Progress” and “Nostalgia”.
The 4th section of the 1st pavilion represented “Novelties Gallery” , where the latest collections and new products of Ukrainian and foreign producers and distributors were shown for visitors attention.
In the second pavilion 46 companies presented professional hair care products, hairdressing equipment, hair and eyelashes extension and schools of hairdressing art.
The exposition of the 3d pavilion has shown the most exactly the main format of the B2B exhibition. Many specialists had an opportunity to know better two main directions: Beauty Lab- it’s professional cosmetics and equipment for beauty salons, also aesthetic medicine and Nail Service Studio - it’s professional means for nails care, piercing and tattoo means.
In the framework of InterCHARM Ukraine the informative program of professional conferences and forums was held including master-classes and lectures of leading specialists of different areas of perfumery and cosmetics world. In the large spectrum of events the specialists could find the actual theme for themselves.
Conference “Investments in the salon business” was oriented to the potential investors of salon business, administrators and owners of beauty salons, SPA-centers, fitness-centers and tan-studios, interested to extend the list of the offered services.
IV Conference “Beauty Salon Management” was the catalyst of high-professional debates in area of marketing and management of beauty industry, and “Forum of massage technologies” memorized by his participants with a spectacle and uniqueness of the shown massage techniques.
This year Tiyna Orasmyae-Meder presented the series of lectures on diagnostics of normal and surplus weight, obesities and showed the own exclusive massage techniques.
For owners and administrators of beauty salons, tan-studios, marketing specialists and distributors of professional cosmetics for tanning “UV-Academy” was organized.
At International conference on the applied aesthetics «Anti-age is Quality of life» 24 lectures of popular specialists were presented. The lecture on diagnostics and pathogeneticly grounded choice of correction methods of age changes and rejuvenation caused the highest interest of listeners.
“II International conference on actual problems of aesthetical medicine” became a wonderful possibility of experience exchange for leading specialists.
Participants enriched the professional level in the non-stop mode. Taking into the account the high rates of aesthetic medicine sphere development, the growing interest of specialists to this direction, and accordingly appearance of new practical areas, in June, 2008 the organizers of the exhibition, the company «Cosmetic Expo Media», gives to the specialists a possibility of participating in the event of new format: forum “ Beauty Profmeeting Ukraine”. Except of the unique atmosphere of the professional meeting, a good exposition the Organizers developed a concurrent program of the Conferences of the target groups.
Nail Service studio is a three-day exclusive teaching program for the specialists of nail service industry collected many practicing masters of nail art.
The program “ SPA-institute” included itself the series of lectures of 12 leading foreign and Ukrainian specialists of SPA-direction, owners of author’s technologies and developments, and was for them unprecedented possibility of discussion of the most important questions of SPA world today.
The visitors of YOU Professional Show had the enormous pleasure from the event. The program of three-day master-classes and shows of companies’ top-stylist was prepared as a format of expedition «In search of beauty, single for all». On the stage technologies of hair-cutting, performed in the fashionable tendencies of America, Finland, Holland, Great Britain, Italy, Russia and Ukraine were shown. A program spice became a legendary maestro of long hairs Patrick Kameron from London. Within a Wella day the final coiffure of his show-program Red Carpet he created under a storm of applause.
At VI International conference «Cosmetic industry of Ukraine» the row of fundamental thematic questions were discussed, among which lectures on the innovations of perfumery and cosmetics market, potential and features of cosmetics’ sales and distributor’ channels in pharmacies, state of selective cosmetics and perfumery market caused the highest interest of listeners.
The international conference “Pharma Beauty” allowed the players of non medicinal market to do the fundamental analysis of medical cosmetics market and features of pharmacy marketing organization.
And the IV International conference “New ingredients and technologies for perfumery and cosmetics manufacturing” gave the possibility to the participants to receive and systematize actual information about new generations of cosmetic means, their complex protection and new using types.
Exclusive master-class of Olga Seymur was conducted at the exhibition: «Haute couture and prete-a-porter spring-summer 2008: style, form, color, haircutting, make up», already traditionally causing large interest for stylists, makeup artists, hairdressers and many other specialists, workings in the area of fashionable industry.
Lectures on history and tendencies of fashion of legendary fashion historian Alexandr Vasil'ev caused the expected stir not only among the representatives of beauty industry but also of the fashion-world specialists.
It should be noted the main and the most traditional exhibition sections presented the segments of perfumery and cosmetics market: cosmeceutics, aromatherapy, household chemical goods, makeup, cosmetics, cosmetology, equipment for beauty salons, professional nails care products and equipment, personal hygiene products, piercing and tattoo, raw materials, packing and label for perfumery and cosmetics manufacture, aesthetic medicine and accessories.
The international opened championships “Fashion Festival Body Art”, “Beauty Nails 2008”, “Make-Up Fashion Street”, “HAIR EXTENSION-2008”, contest of specialists on permanent makeup «Line of perfection 2008» and «Pearl of mastership» for cosmetologists and aesthetists became the pride of the exhibition.
The high interest to the exhibition and, as a result, yearly growth of the participants number mean about positive dynamics of the exhibition InterCHARM-Ukraine, about the development of perfumery and cosmetics industry, creation of powerful market and marketing communications with the participation of foreign companies. The effect of this growth is the appearance of characteristic western tendencies in the segment of perfumery and cosmetics industry of Ukraine, and similarly visible improvements of quality of national producers’ products.
