Ukrainian Beauty Festival

InterCHARM Ukraine is the largest international perfumery and cosmetics exhibition in Ukraine. It exists since 2003 and is held annually in February in the capital of Ukraine - Kiev. The organizer of the exhibition is Cosmetic Expo Media Ltd.

 

 

 

 

The International perfumery and cosmetics exhibition InterCHARM is a well-known brand and absolute leader among similar projects in Eastern and Central Europe. Exhibitions under the brand of InterCHARM Global Beauty Event are the part of international net of specialized exhibitions - Global Beauty Network. In addition to the exhibitions in Kiev, Moscow and Warsaw, this network includes the exhibitions in Paris, Dubai, Buenos-Ares, Frankfurt and Tokyo.

 

InterCHARM Ukraine has become the biggest trade show among Ukrainian perfumery and cosmetics exhibitions due to the figure of participants and total area. It has soon gained the status of international exhibition. Today InterCHARM is considered to be one of the most effective instruments of marketing communication, the exhibition has become a business venue, where Ukrainian and foreign producers and distributors gather to show attained results and uncover their plans for future.

 

This event long ago became prominent for majority of companies working in the perfumery and cosmetics market of Ukraine and those which want to enter this market. Here the dynamics of the branch growth, development trends of all activity lines of beauty industry are reflected in the best way. According to experts’ opinion, the growth rate of perfumery and cosmetics branch in Ukraine exceeded 18%.

 

Nowadays InterCHARM Ukraine is considered to be one of the most effective instruments of marketing communication for getting into contact with new clients and keeping existent, for perfumery and cosmetics market analyzing and bringing new products and services to the market, creating a positive image of a company and its trademark. Today the exhibition participants have an opportunity to find partners not only for products import, but also for making export contracts.

 

For the fifth year already InterCHARM Ukraine confirms the status of the biggest perfumery and cosmetics exhibition in Ukraine. The organizers’ share on the perfumery and cosmetics exhibition Ukrainian market is 40%, due to the quantity of participants. And if to take the segment of participants, that present production for end consumers, so the share of Cosmetic Expo Media is 90%. The organizers of the exhibition provide the companies from different countries with a possibility of productive communication. The evidence of this fact is the increasing number of participants’ countries - from 8 in 2003 to 18 countries in 2007. Moreover, a great number of foreign and national distributors, merchants, retailers and beauty salons representatives are actively attracted to the trade show by the organizers annually. So, InterCHARM Ukraine is a perspective for widening of clients and partners bases, opportunity to find new ideas for creative work, getting acquaintance with modern tendencies of beauty industry.

 

In 2007 the International Perfumery and Cosmetics Exhibition InterCHARM Ukraine expanded the exposition area up to 19 387 sqm (in 2006 this figure was 17 893 sqm), the quantity of visitors in 2007 was 49 500 people, it’s 19% more than in 2006.

 

The exposition was in two pavilions. There were 520 participants from Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, Israel, Romania, Germany, Poland, Bulgaria, Italy, Korea, Turkey, Taiwan, France, Pakistan, Czechia, England.

 

There were 350 Ukrainian companies from all market segments, among which 49 - national producers. 20% of exhibitors - foreign companies, which have been demonstrating the quality of their products and services.

 

If to speak about the main subjects of the exposition, we can distinguish the exhibitors by next directivities: accessories (44 companies), pharmaceutical cosmetics (17 companies), aromatherapy (8 companies), household chemical goods (20 companies), make-up cosmetics (53 companies), cosmetics (133 companies), cosmetology (83 companies), beauty salons equipment (69 companies), hair and eyelash extension (13 companies), perfumery (48 companies), professional hair care cosmetics (53 companies), solariums (20 companies), professional nail care products (57 companies), personal hygiene products (38 companies), raw materials (15 companies), tattoo and piercing (17 companies), package and equipment for perfumery and cosmetics producing (26 companies), aesthetic medicine (20 companies), associations and social organizations (6), training centers (12), mass media (29), exhibition companies (9) and also marketing research companies.

 

For the convenience of participants and visitors the exhibition area is divided into topical sections. In 2007 the exposition of pavilion no1 was dedicated to perfumery & cosmetics products, everything for tattoo, raw materials, packages and equipment for perfumery and cosmetics producing, professional cosmetics and equipment for beauty saloons. This pavilion also included four specialized sections: Pharma Beauty (cosmeceutics, children care products, hygiene products, BAAs, aromatherapy); TREND ZONE (the zone of world tendencies of beauty industry development, which are reflected in visual images); ZOOM (the zone of innovations and last achievements in perfumery and cosmetics industry); InterCHARMpack (raw materials, labels, packages and equipment for perfumery and cosmetics producing). In the pavilion no 2 guests visited stands of the companies, which represented professional cosmetic brands, and also hair care and nail care products, full equipment for beauty saloons.

 

The organizers of the exhibition are interested not only in attracting the exhibitors and visitors; this exhibition is famous for its wide parallel program, which is oriented at all audiences of beauty industry specialists. Thus in 2007 there were 19 professional events and conferences for hairdressers, stylists and image-designers; nail service specialists; cosmetologists and specialists on aesthetics applied; masseurs and manual therapist; top managers and owners of beauty saloons, SPA-centers and fitness centers; marketing specialists; perfumery and cosmetics technologists; tattoo specialists.

 

One of the most prominent international events for hairdressers is YOU Professional Show, which is annually held in the framework of InterCHARM Ukraine and is organized by international fashion hair magazine YOU Professional, Ukrainian Edition. This year 17 creative groups from Ukraine, Italy, Belarus, France, USA and Russia took part in master-classes and show-programs of the leading foreign and Ukrainian companies that presented professional hair care products.

 

The participation of foreign exhibitors is a very positive side of the event. They create a strong competitive sphere on the market; bring in the elements of European culture in carrying of beauty industry business, raise levels of quality for national producers. Attending InterCHARM Ukraine, foreign producers and specialists study perfumery and cosmetics market of Ukraine, analyze some investing programs.
