Annual event for beauty-lovers
Beauty industry in Ukraine is the market of great possibilities to all its participants: investors, producers, distributors, owners of beauty salons, specialists and consumers. It had been rapidly developing until global financial crisis hit all spheres of business activities. Nevertheless last year the Ukrainian beauty market started to stabilize. Following the market the International exhibition of perfumery and cosmetics InterCHARM-Ukraine also strengthened its position.
It is stipulated by the growing interest of the companies to exhibitions
as an effective instrument of direct communications with customers,
presentation of new products and services, familiarization with new
tendencies, competitors’ products and market situation in whole.
Nowadays InterCHARM-Ukraine is a world known project, representing
development dynamics of the perfumery and cosmetics market and
determinative vectors of its developments in future. Every year it
gathers under the roof of the exhibition center tens of thousands of
Ukrainian and foreign visitors, real connoisseurs of beauty, who come to
the exhibition to get acquainted with great number of novelties
presented by the companies-participants, to attend active training
master-classes and seminars, to watch exciting championships.
Brief statistics This year the army of beauty-lovers has numbered 37 565 visitors. At the exposition area of 16 300 sq.m there were presented 472 companies, 59 of them – foreign ones, whose participation reaffirms the international status of the event. The participants represented 15 world countries – Belarus, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Latvia, Moldova, Russia, South Korea, Sweden, Taiwan, Turkey, USA and Ukraine, of course. It is necessary to say that the total space of the exhibition grew by 4% in comparison with 2009. Structure changes Embracing all directions of beauty industry the exhibition was traditionally divided in subjects – the first pavilion presented cosmetics, perfumery, pharmaceutical cosmetic products, household goods, raw materials and packaging as well as foreign delegations; the second pavilion was devoted to hairdressing art, and the third one represented big exposition of salon products and services. This year the sections of the exhibition underwent some changes. Thus, the section of products for retail channels has decreased by 22%. The section of hairdressing art has grown by 35%, and the segments of cosmetology and nail industry have increased by 7%. Attendance peculiarities The main gain of business visitors was a considerable number of contracts, business acquaintances and contacts, as year by year traditional winter exhibition InterCHARM-Ukraine is “the cabinet for negotiations” for the beauty industry representatives. The exhibition became a distinctive bridge for our fellow citizens and inhabitants of Europe and Asia. Among the tendencies shown by professional visitors and participants of the exhibition there were loyalty to sailable European trademarks, keen interest in exotic Asian brands, incentive in diversification and search for new ways of cooperation. The separate type of visitors was buyers (purchasers). They arrived at the exhibition from all regions of the country owing to the buyers’ program conducted by the organizers of the event. For foreign exhibitors there was also offered an additional service such as targeted direct mailing to potential distributors. Recognition & honours Every year the organizers of the exhibition keep track of changes that take place in the field of beauty industry. That’s why the company Estet decided to award the companies, which amend the market, with Golden Medals of InterCHARM-Ukraine. This year the Golden Medals went to such companies as Biosphere Corporation, Dow Corning, L’Oreal Professionnel Ukraine, Nails International, Yuria Pharm Corporation and Holy Land. Training & demonstrations The organizers of the exhibition did not forget to pay attention to training events and offered 20 professional programs for specialists of various directions: Salon business: Risks And Prospects, SPA-Institute, Beauty Salon Management, International Conference On Applied Aesthetics, Forum Of Massage Technologies, YOU Professional Show, various authors’ seminars, XI International Forum Of Nail Industry Professionals, Pharma Beauty Conference, Ukrainian Market Of Domestic Chemistry And Household Conference, Internet-Commerce Of Perfumery And Cosmetics Market Conference. In addition to training programs beauty industry professionals had the chance to demonstrate their skills and recommend themselves at various championships, among which there were conducted such events as VI Qualifying Nail Art Championship Of Ukraine and Moldova BeautyNails, IX All-Ukrainian Competition Of Cosmetologists Pearl Excellence, V International Championship HAIR-EXTENSION-2010, Open Ukrainian Championship On Hairdressing Art And Make-Up Cup Of Kiev. Possibilities & advantages As a summary of all the above one can say with certainty that InterCHARM-Ukraine again lived up to its guests’ and participants’ expectations. The exhibition has appeared to be the best way of information interchange and entering into mutually beneficial cooperation between domestic and foreign companies. InterCHARM-Ukraine is a large-scale project, dynamically developing and progressing from year to year. It is not the least of the parts of national beauty industry improvement process.
